I'm glad you're here. I can help.
My approach to counseling is first and foremost one of non-judgment, compassion, and warmth. Initially trained as a marriage and family therapist, I have worked with children, teens, families, couples and individual adults since 2009.
In order to provide effective counseling, I utilize a blend of methods from Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Reality Therapy and Motivational Interviewing as is appropriate for each unique individual or couple with which I work. In other words, I listen to your story and help you implement practical solutions. I have experience and training using traditional talk therapy, family systems therapy, and trauma-informed care to help you experience greater joy and satisfaction in your life and relationships. Nurturing a spirit of mindfulness is also foundational to the work I do. I am committed to honoring your unique history, culture, and present concerns and am also a LGBTQ-affirming counselor.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with the Oregon Board of Licensed Professional Counselors and Therapists and abide by its Code of Ethics.
I offer a free, no-obligation phone consultation to see if we might be a good fit. I look forward to hearing from you!
